Tesla Powerwall 3 Specifications

The Tesla Powerwall 3 stores 13.5 kWh of usable energy and delivers 5, 10 or 11 kW of continuous power. Its built in solar inverter accepts up to 20 kW of DC solar input. Each Expansion adds another 13.5 kWh of storage using the same inverter. Connect up to three Expansions to one Powerwall 3 for a total of 54 kWh.

Powerwall 3 on a three-phase home

Your Powerwall 3 connects to one phase of your power supply. On a three-phase home, Tesla's Australian install manual says a Powerwall 3 system backs up only the loads on one chosen phase during a blackout. Tesla's three-phase model, Powerwall 3P, connects to all three phases and stores the same 13.5 kWh. Powerwall 3P is here, and you can order it now from Sunstak. Solar battery rebate

The Cheaper Home Batteries discount, worked out for each size. You claim it once per property, so the size you install is the size you claim on. Your accredited retailer takes it off your quote at the point of sale, so there is no separate claim afterwards, and the rate steps down every six months until 2030.

Powerwall 3 on three-phase power

Can I put a Powerwall 3 on three-phase power?

Yes. A Powerwall 3 can go on a three-phase home, and in a blackout Tesla's install manual says it backs up the loads on one chosen phase. Tesla's Powerwall 3P connects to all three phases and supplies three-phase loads.

What is Powerwall 3P?

Powerwall 3P is Tesla's three-phase version of Powerwall 3, built for homes with a three-phase power supply. Each Powerwall 3P stores 13.5 kWh, supplies up to 15 kW of continuous power at 25°C or cooler and has four solar inputs.

Can I add Powerwall 3P to my Powerwall 3 or Powerwall 2?

No. Tesla says Powerwall 3P can't be combined with Powerwall 3 or Powerwall 2 units. You can grow a Powerwall 3 system with Powerwall 3 Expansion units, which add 13.5 kWh each.

I've ordered a Powerwall 3. Can I switch to Powerwall 3P?

Tesla asks you to talk to your Tesla Certified Installer about switching an order that's still waiting to go in. If Sunstak is fitting your Powerwall 3 and your home is three-phase, call 02 5127 5000 before install day.
