Two adapters, and what each one does
One 10 A adapter and one 15 A adapter come in the box. The 10 A fits the power point in every Australian house and draws 2.3 kW. The 15 A fits the larger socket in a garage or a caravan bay and draws 3.5 kW. The handle at the car end is Type 2, the plug every AC-charging car sold in Australia takes.
Your car needs software 2021.12.25 or later and one completed charge cycle before the adapters run at their full 10 A and 15 A. Until then they hold at 8 A and 12 A. If the charge is slower than the specification says, check the car's software before you check the cable.
Tesla sets the two side by side on its Australian support page. The Mobile Connector: up to 23 km per hour on a 15 A outlet, 6 m of cable, indoors, no app, portable. The Wall Connector: up to 75 km per hour on three phase, 7.3 m, indoors or outdoors, in the Tesla app, fixed to the wall. Tesla names the Wall Connector as its recommended way to charge at home. What it draws, and what it weighs
The controller runs from 8 A to 32 A, on a single-phase supply between 100 V and 240 V. It measures 180 × 82 × 47 mm. The enclosure is rated IP55, it works from −30 °C to 50 °C, and it needs no ventilation. There is no radio inside it, so it never appears in your Tesla app.
