What comes in the box
Mobile Connector comes with a 10 A adapter and a 15 A adapter. The 10 A fits the standard power point in your home and draws 2.3 kW. The 15 A fits the larger socket you'll find in a garage or a caravan bay and draws 3.5 kW. The handle at your car is Type 2, which works with every AC charging car sold in Australia.
Your car needs software 2021.12.25 or later and one completed charge cycle before the adapters run at their full 10 A and 15 A. Until then they hold at 8 A and 12 A. If the charge is slower than the specification says, check your car's software before you check the cable.
Tesla sets the two side by side on its Australian support page. The Mobile Connector: up to 23 km per hour on a 15 A outlet, a 6 metre cable, indoors, no app, portable. The Wall Connector: up to 75 km per hour on three phase, a 7.3 metre cable, indoors or outdoors, in the Tesla app, fixed to the wall. Tesla Mobile Connector specifications
The controller runs on a single phase supply between 100 V and 240 V and measures 180 × 82 × 47 mm. It has an IP55 rated enclosure, operates from −30°C to 50°C and needs no ventilation. It carries no radio of its own, so it never appears in your Tesla app.
