A roof with several faces, and three phases under it
A roof like this one is not a single plane, and that is what lets an array this size go on without any of it pointing the wrong way. The panels are laid across three separate faces in three separate runs. That is more setting out and more roof penetrations than a single plane. It is also the reason the whole 22.4 kW earns its keep, instead of half of it sitting in shade by mid-afternoon.
Three-phase power decides the rest of the design before anything reaches the roof. It sets what the inverter has to be, how the battery ties into the board, and which circuits are still live when the street goes off. It is the first thing worth establishing about a site this size and the thing most quotes skip.

Two Tesla Powerwalls sit side by side on a garage wall with the gateway on the same wall to their right. Two units is 27 kWh, because every Powerwall sold here is 13.5. Indoors on a rendered wall is the easy version of this job: no weather, a short run back to the board, and a surface that takes the weight without a frame.
The yellow bollard in front of them is not decoration. It is a garage, cars reverse into it, and anything at bumper height gets protected. The gateway is the part that does what people actually want a battery for. It watches the street, and when the street stops it opens the connection and runs the house off what is stored instead. Nobody in the house does anything.

It runs from the bill you send us to the day your system is switched on.

Before the visit
Send us two bills, one from summer and one from winter, and tell us roughly when your house is busy. Your own numbers are where the design starts.

Site visit or phone consultation
One of our energy geeks goes through the roof, the switchboard and the meter with you, at the house or over the phone. What goes where, what the roof can carry and whether the board has room all get settled here.

Customised design
A Sunstak engineer designs the system in house. You get back a drawing of your own house with the equipment set out on it, and what decided where each piece went.

Quote approval
Your quote lists every item with its model number, and the exclusions as plainly as the inclusions. There is nothing to sign on the day, and nothing is ordered until you approve it.

Installation
We tell you up front what gets switched off on the day, and for how long.

Post-installation support
Nobody leaves until the system is commissioned and the monitoring is running on your phone. After that, service and warranty go through the same office that did the install.
