About the role
The Warehouse Assistant will support SunStak in accelerating our mission of Empowering Energy Independence.
With a strong focus on customer outcomes, the Warehouse Assistant will assist SunStak’s operations team with general warehousing duties, including receiving goods, picking, and packing.
You’ll join a team of dedicated and talented people working toward a shared goal and must bring the willingness and adaptability to support multiple business functions as needed.
This role requires genuine enthusiasm for the renewables industry, a thirst for learning and problem solving, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
The ideal candidate will be based in Canberra or the surrounding region, with daily attendance required at the Hume warehouse.
Primary duties
General warehousing duties including use of an electric forklift and manual pallet jack
Accurate record keeping and paperwork for incoming and outgoing goods
Engaging with customers and installers as needed
Maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment
Using SunStak’s CRM and other relevant software
Supporting the Managing Director and broader team as needed, including training and inducting new staff as we grow

Bookkeeper

About the role
Sunstak is a growing ACT-based energy company helping households take control of their energy use through solar, battery storage, EV charging, and more. We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented bookkeeper to support our day-to-day financial operations.
This is a remote role with flexible hours. Ideal for someone experienced in Xero who can work independently and ensure the financial engine of our business runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts in Xero
Process accounts payable and receivable, and reconcile bank and credit card transactions
Reconcile customer finance payments via Brighte and manage job-level revenue tracking
Support payroll processing and staff reimbursements
Prepare and coordinate BAS lodgements with our external accountant
Maintain clear records of project expenses and income
Generate light monthly reporting for cash flow and business tracking
Keep digital records organised and audit-ready
Skills & Experience
2+ years of experience in bookkeeping for a small business
Strong working knowledge of Xero
Comfortable managing day-to-day bookkeeping with minimal supervision
Familiarity with small business compliance and GST/BAS processes
Strong attention to detail and record-keeping
Clear and timely communication
Qualifications
Cert IV in Bookkeeping or relevant practical experience
Xero certification preferred
Must be based in Australia and eligible to work

Electrician
Renewable Energy Electrician

About the role
The Renewable Energy Electrician role will primarily support SunStak’s electrical related installation activities including the installation of new heat pump hot water systems, electric vehicle charging, general electrical work, battery storage and the service and maintenance of existing systems. The role will also involve assisting in SunStak’s warehouse(s), picking up and delivering equipment to site and helping to build an installation team to assist with the installation of residential and commercial solar systems in Canberra and surrounding areas.
You will work closely with a small team of highly self-motivated and value-driven individuals to grow our in-house electrical installation capability.
This is a hands-on role in Canberra and surrounding areas. A work van will be provided to you for use. High attention to detail, a thorough understanding of applicable electrical standards, a strong quality focus, safety first mindset and continuous learning and improvement is essential to your success in this role.
As an early-stage growth company, you will have the potential to take on more responsibility and grow with us.
Primary duties
Work autonomously to install heat pump hot water systems, residential and commercial electric vehicle charging, general electrical work, battery storage installations and solar installations.
Picking up and delivery of equipment to customer sites and SunStak warehouse(s).
Assisting in the warehouse as required.
Working under the supervision of the Office Manager and later under the Operations Manager.
Follow best practice for installations including complying with all relevant electrical standards.
About you

ACT Electrical licence. Electrical experience In the ACT

Clean Energy Council Accredited solar and battery certificate
Working at heights, working with vulnerable people, asbestos card, white card

You will join a team of dedicated and talented people working toward a collective goal and must have the willingness and
adaptability to provide support across multiple business functions.
You must have a genuine enthusiasm for the industry, a thirst to learn and problem solve and the ability to work autonomously and within a team.
The Ideal candidate would be in the Canberra or surrounding region, with attendance required from time-to-time at the office. Working arrangements are deliberately flexible; however, as such, independent initiative and good communication are required to succeed.
Primary duties
Run energy consultations with potential customers to deliver exceptional outcomes that align with our mission of Empowering Energy Independence.
Working dynamically within SunStak to ensure customers receive an exceptional experience from enquiry through to Installation completion.
Work with SunStak's Customer Relationship Management software and other software as required.
Prepare and send quotes, conduct follow ups and meet monthly volume targets.
Provide continuous feedback and Improvement to optimise the customer experience and drive efficiency.
Be a point of contact for customers during the installation process to support the SunStak Operations Geek.
Support the Managing Director and broader team as required and training and inducting new staff as we continue to grow.
