Enphase microinverters and batteries

Enphase puts a small inverter under every panel on your roof. Each panel converts its own power, so one shaded or faulty panel costs you that panel and nothing else.

Why we fit Enphase

A string system wires your panels together in a line and runs the whole line through one inverter on your wall. Enphase does the conversion up on your roof, panel by panel.

  • One panel stops, the rest keep working

Your array has no central inverter to depend on. A panel that fails stops on its own, and every other panel keeps converting.

  • We find the fault before we're on your roof

Each microinverter reports its own output, so we can see which panel has stopped and where it sits on your roof. That shortens the service visit, and it's what a warranty claim needs.

  • Add panels one or two at a time

Your array is not fixed to the length of a string. Put in an EV charger, or fill a second roof face later, and we add the new panels to the system you already have.

  • Your wall stays clear

The electronics sit up under your panels, so there's no big inverter box beside your meter board. That matters if the only wall you have spare is outside a bedroom.

Shade, and roofs that face more than one way

Canberra roofs are rarely one clean rectangle facing north. A string of panels works at the pace of its weakest panel. So a chimney shadow at four o'clock in June costs you more than the one panel it lands on.

  • Use every face of your roof

A string needs panels of one orientation on one run. With an inverter under each panel, we can run your east face and your west face on the same system, and each panel converts on its own.

  • A gum tree, a chimney, a neighbour's roofline

Shade moves through the day and through the year. Panel-level conversion keeps the loss to the panels that are in shadow at the time, so the rest of your panels keep working.
