Eligible battery installations may qualify for an upfront discount through the Australian Government's Cheaper Home Batteries Program. The amount depends on the battery's eligible usable capacity, installation date and the value of the small-scale technology certificates (STCs). We'll confirm your eligibility and the discount included in your quote.

Frequently asked questions
How do I know if I have single-phase or three-phase power?
Your electricity bill or meter may identify your supply type. If you're unsure, select "Not sure" in the calculator and we'll check it for you. Your price will assume single-phase power; three-phase installation adds $150. Charging speed depends on your vehicle, charger and electrical supply.
Will a Tesla Wall Connector charge an EV that isn't a Tesla?
Yes, a Tesla Wall Connector can charge compatible EVs with a Type 2 charging port. The charging cable is permanently attached to the unit (Type 2, tethered). Tell us your vehicle's make and model and we'll confirm compatibility before installation.
What's included in the price?
Your price shows installation, cable and charger supply as separate items. Installation includes the required RCD safety switch. Cable costs $160 for up to 5 metres, then $32 per additional metre within the calculator's priced range. A Tesla Wall Connector costs $770 if we supply it. All prices include GST. Additional site work and cable beyond 30 metres are quoted separately.
Can the final quote differ from the instant quote?
Yes. The instant quote is based on your answers. We'll check the switchboard, cable route and installation requirements before confirming the final price. Any additional work will be itemised in your quote and explained before you approve the installation.
How long does installation take, and do I need to be home?
Most charger installations are completed in one visit. We'll confirm the expected timing before the appointment. Someone will need to be home to provide access and confirm the charger location. We'll also need to switch off the power for part of the installation.
I already have a charger. Can you install it?
Yes. Select "I already have a charger" in the calculator to exclude charger supply from your price. Include the charger's make and model in your enquiry so we can confirm its suitability and installation requirements before quoting.
Can I charge my EV using solar power?
Yes. Charging while your panels are generating can help you use solar electricity at home. If solar generation is lower than your household and charging demand, other available power sources may supply the balance. Tesla's Charge on Solar feature can use excess solar with a compatible Tesla vehicle, Powerwall and eligible solar setup. We'll help you check which options suit your home.
